Kinja'd!!!

This guy looks like he's just hanging around.

Kinja'd!!!

This guy was nice enough to let me photograph his set-up while he was in the middle of it. His house is pretty elaborate and really needs to be seen in action (sadly, I was too busy handling stuff at my own place on Halloween night).

Kinja'd!!!

Including freshly dug grave plots!

Kinja'd!!!

Sorry for the bad angle, but I see this Celica around a bit. There's also a modified Audi TT at this household as well. I think there are some other modded cars at this place too.

Kinja'd!!!

Just goes to show that it's easy to believe in a spring holdout in Eastern Colorado in the middle of October, or even late October.

Kinja'd!!!

Though it seems like the plants might finally be relenting to sub-zero temperatures from evening to morning.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Wispy cirrus clouds over the water tower and race track facilities.

Kinja'd!!!

I've been living here for a few years already and I've never seen this place actually used as a race track. In fact the building at the far left, just left of the water tower, is sometimes used as a communal flea market (which I know because I love going to said flea markets).

Kinja'd!!!

In-fill from the construction of the race track, housing development and school bus depot over years and decades has created this artificial hill which tends to stick out like a sore thumb compared with the gently rolling natural ones surrounding ti, but it's nice enough all the same.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Another artificial hill, more directly from the housing development and especially school bus depot (which is just to the right).

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Is it weird that this reminds me of the first Super Mario Bros. game for some reason? I think it's how the trees translate surprisingly well to 8-bit pixelation.

Kinja'd!!!

Close-up of said trees.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

And the bus depot - the paving equipment from one of the earlier Parts was parked here, and it shows.

Kinja'd!!!

The artificial hill on which the bus depot is built directly on top of, from the sidewalk below.

Kinja'd!!!

More infill, as I said a future middle and high school (and hopefully place of future employment) is slated to sit atop here eventually.

Kinja'd!!!

Nice landscaping greets bus drivers as they park their personal vehicles (which includes a lot of Harleys for some reason) in favor of the big orange ones.

Kinja'd!!!

More wispy cirrus clouds float overhead. And yes that is a tornado warning siren, they were well-used this past summer. Mobile structures peak out from the hill, I don't know if they're classrooms in dry storage or actual office space used by the depot itself (I'm inclined to lean towards the former as they look like the mobile classrooms that sit on the elementary school playground visible right from the seat from where I'm typing this).

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Right in the middle of the boulevard. Not a lot of traffic, so not a lot of danger.

Kinja'd!!!

Fiat 500! Incidentally I had just test driven one the day before.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Yes, I took a picture of a caterpillar. Actually I took video of it too:

Kinja'd!!!

More prairie weeds!

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

More hills!

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

More bus depots!

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I have to admire this guy for putting such care into this car. It really does look like it came straight off the showroom every time I walk by it.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

And we close with some last final Halloween decoration shots. Plus some videos I forgot to fit in last time!

Even a Corolla deserves love!
